Message from the President
Dear friends

Greetings! Our Journal has reached a landmark: The International Journal of Diabetes in Developing Countries is now indexed by PubMed. It is a magnificent achievement for the flagship journal of our Society. Prof HB Chandalia, Editor in Chief deserves applause for marshalling the journey, and for all members for their intellectual, scholarly and scientific contributions. To access it, visit the website http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/ and enter the search term IJDDC. The Journal is already available on www.scholar.google.com. With this development, the visibility of IJDDC will increase manifold, inviting citations and contributions the world-over.

Information technology is upon us. We've been using it in a variety of ways without always being aware. To harness its power for our members, we are planning to develop a reminder system where our members will be able to send reminders of clinic visits and investigations to registered patients through e-mail and sms messages to patients who register for the service. A beta version of the model should be ready in a couple of months.

For those of you who are working on psychological aspects of diabetes mellitus, Prof Clare Bradley may be contacted for English, Hindi and Punjabi versions of DTSQs and ADDQoL. She can be reached at C.Bradley@rhul.ac.uk

With regards

Very sincerely

Dr. G.R. Sridhar
